Dr. Ashlea Winfield is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Associate Director of the Cook County Health Simulation Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Winfield earned her Master of Science in Public Health from the Tulane University School of Public Health and medical doctorate from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-School of Medicine in New Orleans.
Dr. Ashlea Winfield is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Associate Director of the Cook County Health Simulation Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Winfield earned her Master of Science in Public Health from the Tulane University School of Public Health and medical doctorate from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-School of Medicine in New Orleans. As academic faculty, Dr. Winfield is committed to increasing the representation of individuals from historically marginalized groups in medicine and works to foster cultures of safety for all individuals within her institution by promoting trauma informed principles within graduate medical education. Dr. Winfield also directs simulation-based education with a focus on procedural competency and using simulation to teach topics in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
